Brian Martinez studied Film at Long Island University where he mostly made films about people dying. A lifelong horror fan, he’s been known to watch a John Carpenter movie on repeat until people grow concerned.

Since his apocalyptic debut with A Chemical Fire, Martinez has published roughly a dozen books, each exploring different facets of horror and speculative fiction. Notable works include The Mountain and The City, The Body Farm, Bleeders, The Unseen series, and his short story collection, An Echo in the Bone.

Never content to limit himself to a single medium, Martinez ventured into audio storytelling as the writer and producer of The Vessel, a Space Horror podcast on all major streaming platforms. The show continues to build a devoted following among horror enthusiasts. He lives in New York with his wife Natalia and their pack of crazy dogs.
